We finally could be 'active'  this year!

So many competitions, events, and happy faces! Beside the regular running races like a 5K or marathon, there have also been some races that are more out of the ordinary! Two events with a lot of attendees:

Biggest active sport event

An event Down Under with record breaking numbers. The City 2 Surf concluded its 50th physical event after two years of virtual editions.  The run brings participants from Sydney city to Bondi Beach. Participants received a total of 3 split times; Start to Heartbreak Hill, Heartbreak Hill, Heartbreak Hill to Bondi Beach .

BibTag going Boxing-class

We hear what you think: Why would MYLAPS technology  be used to time an event without fastest times or winners? Ok, we've got you a little there. In June, our BibTag system was succesfully used for the Guinness World Record for the largest boxing class in the world, in Mexico City. The organizers could easily count the number of attendees with the BibTag system, and there were a lot of them!

More and more event timing

Let's count up the numbers

MYLAPS Event Timing, our in-house timers, have had a blast this year, supporting events all over the world again with their timing services. The team got to be front-row, supporting to all the great sporting performances athletes have achieved. It's good to be back! MYLAPS Event Timing, or as 2022 slowly unveiled... More and More Event Timing!

MYLAPS X2 Race Control

Motorsport is super exciting: pushing the limits of vehicles, drivers, and racing officials. We all know this is not without risk. That’s why we have developed X2 Race Control, a fully integrated solution to control all the action happening on the track, using real-time data (GPS location, vehicle data) to help you enhance your race control duties. We are proud that many circuits around the world are adopting our system by executing installments of one or more pillars. This year, the X2 Race Control LED Panels have been homologated by the FIA/FIM, making the system even more accessible for racing series. We are excited for for more installments in 2023!

New innovations

But we'll keep it a secret

In 2023 we're aiming to present you some new innovations in both hardware and software. What exactly is still a secret, but we've got some exciting novelties in store.

We're going green

Although Red is still our color

Don't be fooled by these red lines of text. 2022 was also the year in which we took new steps to contribute to a better world. As the global market leader in sports timing, with innovation in our DNA, we have a responsibility to consider our impact on the environment, society and governance.

Learn more on our Corporate Responsibility initiatives. And more exciting news: We are proud to announce that 2023 will be the first year that MYLAPS operates fully carbon neutral!

Let's meet again

Start of the year right

We're excited for January when we're meeting our active partners from the Americas at our Conference in Cancun. This February we'll be welcoming our partners from Europe in Amsterdam and our headquarters again for the MYLAPS Partner Conference! We're hosting a conference for motorized sports and active sports.

And much more!
